er girl two weeks later because he says that you dont see eachother enough. but everytime you see him he always gives these long meaningful hugs and you can still kind of feel that connection (kind of hard to explain). what if he is also very shy around you but hes not shy around anyone else and if he is always texting and calling you saying that he wants to hang out.

Yeah it sounds like he wants his cake and eat it too so dump him and be with someone that will like you back and not ask out anyone else !

Could be that he is indeed a scumbag but it could also be that he is keeping up a bravado in front of his friends ans is actually pretty nervy when it comes to you. Hang out as friends but do not take it any further unless you are sure that you are in control of the situation.
