It is " A ", but the A was rural and a farming area, Chicago was the stockyards, cattle driven in herds from Tx, and Kansas. Illinois had some of he best farming land, Iowa, Indiana, and of course the "Wisconsin Cheese Heads" were the dairy farmers which are still there today. And in Illinois there is a dairy farm in Glenview Illinois named the Wagner Farm to signify there early settlement.
