the battery supporting the internal memory is probably exhausted.
If you are OK with a screwdriver, open up the computer then find a round "coin" type battery on the main board. Check the type and replace it.
Make sure the mains plug is out- accidents happen...
Of course if you bust any wires doing this, the computer is unlikely to recover- so be careful!

I assume this happens most of the times, even if you have set the clock to the right time (double-click on the time in the bottom status bar in windows) Unfortunately you don't give a lot of details about your machine. If it is a bit older it might be that the clock battery is down. In many cases you can change it yourself (you will need to open the case for this) or talk to a technician.

Invent a time machine and go back to 01/01/2002. That way your pc will be correct again.
Or... right click on your clock (bottom right in taskbar)
Choose "adjust date/time"
Click the "Internet" Time tab
Choose one of the severs in the drop down field and press "update now"
Hopefully that should sort it.

You need to turn it off, take out the power cable, then open the case. Inside on the motherboard you will find a small rechargeable battery - that needs changing

It could be that your BIOS battery is going bad, or somehow you changed the system date.\
Go into setup during bootup and correct the date.
If it doesn't stay with the proper date & time, you may need to change the BIOS Battery or live with it.

You might be seeing the date of the BIOS made. Otherwise click on your clock and change it.
