I was the interviewer for a realativly entry level position in the company and the guy who came in pretty much stated that he was uninterested in this position and wanted a "office" job.
He told me that just by looking at our office setup that there were changes that could make instantly. After telling him that this interview was intended for a floor position and not an office job he said he knew that and just wanted to get an interview.
Don't ever do this if your interviewing. First of all, it shows that your very unrespectful of the protocals of the company and that you are pretty much trying to lie your way into a position. Also it shows disrespect for other's time and effort.
I told the guy that even though his job refrences looked good that this was not the way to go about getting a high level job in the company. He tried to say all the right things like "I don't settle for 2nd best and his skills would be wasted in production."
After about 5 minutes of trying to explain to him that we didn't have an opening even if I wanted to hire him for an office job he said that I made a mistake because he would be the best employee that I have.
I finally just ended the interview as I was really getting sick of this guy touting himself and putting down the organization I already had in place.

I was the interviewee. The interviewer talked for a good solid 45 minutes about how bad the job was and how he hated it there. He was going to be my manager. Needless to say I didn't take the job and when they asked why not I threw that guy under the bus as fast as I could.

What made it so bad as the interviewee is that I gave him my qualifications and he enumerated how each and every bit of experience that I had was totally insufficient to what they were looking for.
Being callow, I did not realize that I could have ended the interview with a terse comment and leave, as it was apparent this person had no intention of hiring me

I was the interviewee. The interviewer was cross-eyed. Everytime I looked at her my eyes would water and begin to cross. It was the worst.

there are particularly some solid responses on right here - so i'm going to purpose to not replica yet upload.. i think of you particularly would desire to contemplate how your reaction to this style of questions sits against your resume (which the interviewer will of course have) if working example you have been in basic terms at your final interest a count of months this is variety of redundant to assert you experience you more desirable so a good distance as you may - this would possibly not somewhat upward push up as an honest reaction.... if nonetheless you labored on your final function 3 hundred and sixty 5 days+ then taking the "i choose to bypass directly to new challanges" line is a sturdy reaction.... ultimate of success

I was interviewed for a small startup. He called me on the phone and the guy asked me ZERO questions. It was out of the blue and he got my resume from someone else, so I had no info on his company and I had to make-up questions on the spot to keep the ball rolling. After 5-10 minutes, I said I had to go. I never called them back.
