I wouldn't advise you to iron directly on the vinyl bad as it will most likely melt the vinyl.
Try using a low heat on the iron and placing a towel between the vinyl and the iron and see if that works. If not get a good craft or fabric glue and try attaching them that way.
I used the puffy paints and some sequins and other fun embellishments purchased at the fabric/craft store to decorate my daughters messenger bag and it's held up now for over a year!

Not iron ons, they will melt the vinyl when your iron gets on it,, use the peel off ones.

sure go ahead / guess what /THE VINYL WILL MELT.

NO you can not iron on it..Find wet ones they work better
