Cool, but I'm not a fan of The American Cancer Society, MS Society, or many of the other so called "societies". I worked as a litigation attorney for The American Cancer Society several years ago, and quite frankly I could write a book on how corrupt they are. If you really knew anything about where all that money went, you would feel the same way too. I feel sorry for that fellow, as I've also lost immediate family members to cancer. The American Cancer Society, Diabetes Foundation, MS Society, and all the rest will never find a cure to those diseases because quite simply put, they don't want to. It started out as a good thing, but has now snowballed into the biggest scam ever. What do you think would happen if a cure for cancer was discovered tomorrow? I'll tell you what would happen; The thousands of persons employed by that organization, not to mention oncologists, pharmaceutical companies and the likes would be out of a job, that's what would happen. Those people have kids to put through school, mortgages to pay, and groceries to buy just like the rest of us. It's called job protection. There have been cures, and remarkable breakthroughs over the last 20 years or so, but they've all been squashed by these so called "societies" and the businesses that support them. But that's a whole other story. A good example of this is the recent breakthrough in Multiple Sclerosis treatment called CCSVI (Chronic cerebro-spinal venous insufficiency). Several doctors around the globe have now proven that MS is closely related to a vascular disorder/blockage, and not neurological as the medical community has thought for the last 60 years. The reason this treatment is not offered here in the US is because the neurologists are in bed with the pharmaceutical companies, and the MS Society. The MS Society won't budge without the approval of the Neurologists, and that will never happen. They say that it will take up to 10 years worth of clinical trials here in America. Well, many people sick with MS don't have 10 years, so thousands of Americans have recently sought out this CCSVI treatment in other parts of the world, and for those treated, the vast majority have had tremendous success with either eradicating the disease and its symptoms all together, or at least stopping it from progressing further. You must ask yourself. What if erectile dysfunction was proven to be caused by vein or vascular blockage, and something as simple as a balloon or stint inserted into a vein could solve that disorder? What do you think the big money companies like Viagra would do? They'd be finished. So as much as I can appreciate a persons passion for a family member afflicted with a nasty disease such as Cancer, MS, Diabetes, or a whole other variety of horrid diseases, I can't help but see things as they really are, having worked in that industry for many years. Sure these societies do a lot of good when it comes to helping with medication and family support, but as far as a cure goes? Sorry, it'll never happen for the political reasons I've just stated, and it's only a snake oil pipe dream that these organizations have been filling our heads with for nearly 100 years. A cure is there, but we'll never see it.
