Because he is really annoying as a character. He gets old fast, as hilarious as he is after a couple of episodes I can't wathc any more of him. Also the animation isn't super, although still quite good, and the humor is like Ren and Stimpy. Some people just don't like that kind of show. It's also quite childish sometimes.
