You should know when you miss your period. It usually takes a couple more weeks until you feel any symptoms.
Some are:
Headache
Urinating often
Sore breasts

usually 2 weeks after sex you can tell with a test.
Cheep tests work fine. (dollar tree tests have always worked for me)
Some like to wait until their period is suppost to be there before testing.
Any line as long as it has color to it is positive! Grey lines are evaporation lines. After 10 mins the test is no good so never rely on anyhting after 10 mins. If you get a faint positive test again in a few days.....HCG doubles every 2 days.

I would take a home pregnancy test the first day you miss your period and then again a week later if still no period. Personally First Response is the best test.

Depends on when you ovulate, and a positive pg test with out a period are great signs.
