All you do is plug it in the wall and then you get wi-fi? I do ont understand. Would You please be able to explain to me what this does and how to use it.

All a router needs is an internet connection to make a wifi network. This just means its options are preset so you can have a secure network instantly.

first plug the LAN from a destop if u have one in the 1 of the num 1-4 then the LAN wire from the modem goes in the LAN port (label LAN or WAN) on the LAN then the cable wire (gray) goes in the modem from the phone jack etc. The router connects to the internet the when a wifi laptop accept or sign in the router the router sends data from the web pages etc wifi like a wireless telophone.

No! You dont get wifi from a router! The router only allows you to connect a series of wireless computers on a local area network!
