I have really wanted to know that. Feedback would be much apreciated as I am typing up a report for a university project for buisness studies. Thanks to all of those that help.

Because their wrestling is sub-par, and there are better alternatives available to fans.

In Japan, fans prefer Pro Wrestling NOAH, as well as All Japan and New Japan.

In Mexico, fans prefer AAA and CMLL.

In the United States, many pro wrestling fans are starting to migrate to promotions that offer a superior in-ring wrestling product, as opposed to all of the endless, boring talking, backstage skits, bra & panty matches, and other cartoony nonsense that the WWE offers.

Of course, most children will continue to watch the WWE because it targets children as their main audience with the cheap sexual gimmicks and grade school level storylines. However, many adults know better and want to see a pro wrestling promotion that still cares about the match, rather than to have a 3 minute match where all the commentators do is tell people about that nights main event and the pay-per-view, while completely ignoring and disrespecting the match in the ring at that time.

These adults are going to superior promotions, such as Ring Of Honor, TNA, JAPW, IWA-MS, Chikara, and promotions overseas, such as NOAH and Dragon's Gate.

WWE is all sizzle, no steak. All style and no substance. It is a cheap variety show from a company that used to show pro wrestling, and many adult fans simply stopped caring, and moved on to something that doesn't insult their intelligence.

Once you see Bryan Danielson vs Samoa Joe, and Do Fixer vs Blood Generation, it is very hard to go back to watching the same old, same old WWE nonsense.

They realised too late that they shouldn't have made it a monopoly. Fans lost their interest when the other organisations such as....Damn, I forget the names... were taken over by WWE. There was less colour, innovation and story-lines - or, at least, repetition of story-lines became more obvious.

It's always been a circus but it needs effort to keep 'the willing suspension of disbelief' and to enjoy the drama with the risk-taking fights. WWE is trying to recreate 'competition' now but it is pretty bogus.

It needs some innovator like Hulk Hogan to come along with something new.

Just my opinion. I was an avid fan till a few years' ago.

WWE might be global but nobody cares anymore because WWE have no new talent and they go over the storylines, rivalries over and over again and the same goes for the matches.WWE have been losing the battle with TNA lately because TNA chant's have been heard through the ECW arena this week and more and more WWE superstars are leaving WWE because WWE is almost at it's end. They have nothing else to offer their fans because they have been around for so long and they haven't got any new gimmicks to give their superstars which is so boring.

It's because all of the shows have become the exact same. I mean, it was decent way back when they had actual matches, now you can't get 3 minutes into the match without some jobber interupting the match, interfering, and grabbing a steal chair. The same with speeches. Just got too repetative. The wwe will soon choke from all the bullshit the writers came up with.

WWE is becoming less popular in my opinion because the storylines are less convincing and in the effort to push the sex sells image they are forgetting that a vast majority of the WWE fans have young children who watch the show and go with them to the live events.

WWE has lost it's objectiveness and instead of trying to reach the whole public they are only catering to one group or type.

well. they're puttin alot more drama on there now and using less wrestling. also they skills that these new people have arent as good as the oldies. Though some new people have great talent like John Cena or Rey Mysterio but look at all the other new ppl. It's just too much of a comedy more than wrestling.

I have noticed as time has progressed, wrestling has gotten bad. There is so much crap going on in it nowadays and it is no where exciting as it used to be when I first started watching it in the 1980's. The women are better looking now days. That is about the only good part of it.

the wwe is getting to involved in the fake side.....we all know its fake but its so obvious now. ten years ago there was a bit of integrity in the sport but now everything is predictable vince should go back to commentating and leave the wrestling to the wrestlers plus the wide known use of drugs in the sport must be having a detrimental effect on it...how many wrestlers have died in the last few years due to drug abuse

Probably because they have become so outrageous.
And don't forget that there are competative companies now as well.
More and more people have figured out that it really is acting.
Once you accept the fact that it's all theater and not 'real', you don't care as much what happens.
There are those that still believe and will argue that it is real, but they also believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny.

I believe that it's audience used to be mainly adolescent kids, and they would talk about it in the playground, and other kids would get into it.

Nowadays children have other things to interest them, so the audience is restricted to those original kids who are now 20-25 and who have no other friends.

I did happen across it on Sky Sports earlier tonight, and spent ten minutes watching two grown men trying to climb an 8-foot ladder!!!! Funny stuff, but not real entertainment.
