Yes you may. I think you can put a Garett turbo in to you car. If i'm not mistaken i think harmann has a turbo kit for your car too but pricey.
The other option is a obermier supercharger. A little different from the turbo but most bmw inline sixes went this route. It's a sweet spinning durable engine and can take quite substantial mods. If its quick small boost you'd like you can look at a NOS kit as well to compliment the supercharger....... GRIN
To get a list of places that may offer ther services you'd like. just buy a copy of MAX POWER.

Yes you can. But you will also need to put a higher cooling system in your BMW. Upgrade your more important thing to allow the TuRbos to work.
Great British TV show called "top gear'. where the guy put a high performance turbo and he didn't put a bigger cooling system on there.

Not even a chance. Even if it were possible, I don't know why someone would want to do that. The M50 engine (incl cylinder head) is light years ahead of the M20 in every respect. But to answer your question simple and direct, the bolt pattern and cooling jackets wouldn't line up. Hope this helps, good luck.

Forget the turbo - go supercharger - easier to install and no 'reeling' effect.
