I really doubt its anything that either one of you are doing wrong.
I do know from personal experience that when a couple is trying so very hard to start a family, us women stress ourselves out and it makes it close to impossible to get pregnant. My husband and I tried for 2, yes I said 2 years before we got pregnant! When we finally relaxed and stopped trying so hard that is when I got pregnant... now 33 weeks along!!

Dont worry- it WILL happen!

Infertility is defined medically as "when you have had sex without using birth control for 1 year and you have not gotten pregnant". This seems to be your case, it can be caused by problems in the man or the woman and a doctor will be able to help you find the specific cause in your case. If you still don't feel like you should go to the doctor, you should talk to your wife and find out if there is anything worrying her, a vacation from work and from stress can be a good idea. Daily intercourse for 3 consecutive days at midcycle should be encouraged. And don't panic, your not doing anything wrong.

Don't listen to people who tell you that it's stress, stress does not make it impossible to get pregnant, but it could be a lot of other things, most of which are easily fixed. For instance, if your wife's cycles are irregular you may just be calculating incorrectly. Try charting her basal temperature with a basal thermometer and/or using ovulation prediction kits (you can buy them near the pregnancy tests), and go to a doctor. Science is amazing now and most problems can be fixed naturally or with medication, but don't put it off.
My husband and I tried for five years until we were able to conceive, so best of luck to you and your wife.

My mother was supposed to be barron.. but she had 4 children.. same with my pastor.. she had 5 .. I said that to say, Im sure your not doing anything wrong. what is ment to be will be. maybe you and your wife can try to pray and ask God to bless you with a child. (it works .. and it is a lot cheaper than fertility) I will say a prayer for you as well.. Good luck and just believe God you will have a littls one when the time is right and Im sure God will smile on your family
Everything bless!

Not necessarily anything. It's only probably at best barely 50/50 even on the best days of the month for her to be able to conceive. So, saddle up and keep on ridin'. You'll get to the finish line before you know it.

I highly suggest that she should start charting her cycles, and you invest $26 in Tacking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler, MPH. Then you two will know if she's ovulating when she thinks she is, able to keep better track of her fertile signs, etc.

I just bought it & I learned a whole bunch of things I wasn't aware of!

You need to make sure you are having intercourse on the days that she is ovulating. Some times trying too hard can make it harder to get pregnant. So take your time, relax. It will happen. If you are really worried talk to your doctor.

i have friends who tried for a solid year to conceive and had no luck. as soon as she stopped taking ovulation tests and checking temps, she found out she was pregnant. unfortunately, sometimes a woman's anxiety can affect it, and as soon as she relaxes about it, she is able to then conceive. you also my want to have your sperm count checked as well as how "active" they are. good luck!!!
