Wear what you like and what you think looks good on you, and suits the occasion and the place where you will be wearing it. You sound old enough to decide. Toronto is a very fashionable City, you should have a good selection of clothing to choose from. Why not ask in a Young mans dress shopp, the sales person should be able to show you what is the current style and trend for your age, and then make a selection that you feel comfortable in. Your sister will not be wearing the clothes, you will

Maybe execs wear tees and sweats but unless you are in charge do not assume that means that you can get away with it. Wear what makes you comfortable. If you want to wear more dressed up you can. Wear a suit and take the jacket off when you get there. Nothing wrong with up dressing. (i'm in To Canada too so this is home grown advise) Clothes make the man

Wow, I thought this was going to be an easy answer at first. Is it free speech in a general sense? Yes. I shouldn't be told what to wear or where to display my beliefs (bumper stickers come to mind). Given an environment where violence is generated by such views, should this t-shirt be protected by free speech? I think so, even though it certainly creates some crazy gray area. I wonder where you can draw the line between preemptively stopping violence and stomping on somebody's civil liberties. If you didn't allow that shirt, you wouldn't have an open declaration of the viewpoint that breeds violence. On the other hand, you have no way of knowing whether the person wearing the shirt will ever be violent, simply because they hold that view. My brain hurts.

Tell your sister she needs to check out some execs as all the ones I know or have seen wear dress shirts as well as suits and ties and none wear sweats to work in. Wear what you want and talk to someone in high places if you are at odds with what is ok or not. They will be glad to talk to a young man that wants to look good and do what is best.

You should wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Dress shirts are perfectly acceptable and they look nice. I don't know where your sister got the idea that executives wear tee-shirts and sweats. Most companys would not allow such an attire for work. Just use your own common sense as far as dressing appropriately.

Get a blue shirt (I like Windsor collars), make sure it does not have a breast pocket, put a cricket jumper (no sleeves) over it and roll up your shirt sleeves. It will make you look less skinny, especially if you have slightly broad shoulders.
Jumpers (v-necks) in general over shirts look good, and you can put jackets over the top of them. Tweed jackets over jumpers look good, and again will bulk you out. Just make sure they all fit properly. If you buy a jacket too large, it will bulk out at the sides where your lat muscles are and wil look nasty.
Make sure the arms on your shirts are long enough (seriously, you do not know how many people have shirts where the arms are too short for them), and always cut the labels off the arms of your jacket... black people have a penchant for leaving them on, and it just shows that they are complete oafs.
Baggy clothes will hang off you, rather than make you look bigger, so don't do that. It will not look baggy, it will just make you look like you bought clothes that were too big for you.
Anyway, I have rabitted on for too long now. Hope that helps a bit.

I wear dress shirts sometimes. I wear a lot of different things. Whatever your sister says, she is just being mean. Ignore her. People wear whatever they like the word over. Don't worry about it.
