I prefer a fake tree because
you don't have to water it,
you don't have to worry about getting rid of it,
the needles don't get all over your house
...and oh ya really ones fall over a lot!
A lot of people like real ones because the smell and the wonderful holiday feeling and i used to be like that but i tried the fake tree one year and it was much simpler.
If you do decide to get a real tree watch where you buy it because my neighbor got one last year that was infested with bugs and they had to get an exterminator and everything... they use a fake tree now too.
Happy Holidays!

I like the smell of a real tree but the ease of a fake tree...we use fake because we put our tree up very early and all the needles fall off before Christmas if we use a real one.

A Fake Tree because it won't make a mess than the real tree!

A real tree. Even though it's messy, takes alot of water and dies quickly, it's much more elegant than a fake tree, it smells FAR better and makes your house smell fresh, and I personally think it's much more in the spirit of Christmas. Of course, I am NOT bashing people who have fake trees. They have their good characteristics as well. And I just dug my self in a hole, so I'm going to bow out before I get any deeper... Good day!

By far a real tree, I will never have a fake one. There is nothing like the smell of pine to make it feel like Christmas.

fake... and it doesn't mean it isn't a real christmas if you have a fake tree! it isn't as messy as the real ones, you can keep it throughout the years, it helps to save the environment, and definitely not as hazardous (a friend of mine had a real tree that accidentally caught on fire one year..). although i do love the smell of fresh pine throughout the house. but, i can use candles for that :)

I always grew up with fake ones; it isn't that I prefer them but they are what I am used to I guess.
I have a big 9 1/2 footer that I put up in the foyer of my house. It is prelit with white lights. It is quite impressive. I am gonna get married in my foyer on Dec. 28th and I am gonna leave it up for that too.
Also, I have allergies...another reason for the fake ones.

A fake one - they're a nicer shape, easier to keep - no mess - also, I have hay fever, and can't tolerate the scent of the real tree - also, it's difficult to get a 'perfect' shape with the real tree.
