Maybe it's because they don't want to think about it. They probably do care, if it had something to do with them or someone they know (if you take my meaning.)

There are millions of us that do care, that even though we didn't lose someone personally, the events of 9-11 touched & affected ppl all over the world. The events of that day and those who were lost haven't been forgotten, nor should they ever be. It is our responsibility and duty to strive to bring something good out of all the horrible events of that day. (& it began the moment the first plane struck, there were many acts of bravery, heroism, self-sacrifice, and kindness). A beautiful monument will be built in honor and rememberance of those lost - however that is not the most important thing to do. The most important way to remember and honor those lost is to improve security, raise the standards of training for those in airports, in security, change and modify high rise rescue policies, new communications between fire and police departments,,,,,it is thru these that those loved ones that were lost will be truly honored.

Help me out here. If I was on the plane that hit the south tower, wouldn't I be dead now? Why would I care if anyone cared or not?

Because we just can't seem to care, because no one cares about anyone but themselves. That plane crashing happened shortly after both my father and grandmother and 13 year old dog died in the same week. Do I NOT have the right to grieve for THEM or are they nothing since they didn't die in a terrorist attack?

Because many people dont really care about that do not concern them as in their families or relatives which is not a good attitude at all.

This country does care, but the past is the past and we cannot change it.
When you get older you will realize there is only so much you can do about the horrors of life. Changing them is not possible, remembering them is all we can do.
All of the citizens who died were immediately with their God. I don't dwell on the sadness of their loss. WE CANNOT CHANGE IT.
Our job is to go on with life. Say goodbye to the past, don't forget it, just don't dwell on it.
PLEASE KNOW THEY ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.

It wasn't a 747, check your facts.
Those people are dead, there is nothing you can do for them. Why not concern yourself with the lilving instead? They are the ones who need your care and concern.

Not sure what you mean. Is there some rationale behind your question?
I think people care...there are cetainly enough web memorials to attest to that.
I just don't know what your getting at.

Unfortunately everyone has their own problems and they tend to focus on them instead of accepting that anyone elses problems are worse
