I mean you have to look at yourself in the mirror.

How do you equate a medical procedure with how a person cares for their image?

Two things to keep in mind, if you're trying to get into the abortion debate.

1. If you are against abortion, you are for forced gestation. Forced gestation is abuse, plain and simple. If you think it's perfectly acceptable to allow a developing fetus to live off of the mothers organs and body without her consent, then it should also be perfectly acceptable to force another complete individual to donate organs to ensure my lifespan.

2. Consenting to sex is not consenting to parenthood.

Why do people get a haircut after a break up?
Why do people clean up the house over and over and over when there's a death?

When there's something painful, its only logical that one would do something to avoid those feelings. By putting on makeup, by focussing on creating a "perfect" look, perhaps your friend is trying to absorb what she recently had to go through and is trying her hardest to keep her self disassociated from that.

Regardless of what some anti-abortion activists think, those who get an abortion are human and have feelings and are immersed in the numerous negative emotions that accompany abortion and the choice of it.

I'm not sure what I would do if I were to have an abortion, but I do know that I would want to do whatever it is I could to not think about it and about the what could have beens.

What are you asking? How do you get an abortion? You go to a clinic where they perform such procedures. And you can spend as much time as you would like putting make up on in the mirror. I don't understand the correlation between the two. God bless****

I'm guessing your against abortion and suggesting that all women who have an abortion are heartless and cold. I don't agree with that, but I don't agree with abortion either. Cinful you said consenting to sex isn't consenting to parenthood. Parenthood is a result of having sex. You point a gun at someone's head and pull the trigger murder could be the result. Your logic suggests that consenting to pull the trigger doesn't necessarily consent the shooter to murder charges. I am disgusted to hear a woman talk about a fetus like some sort of parasite. You should be grateful your mother didn't decide to have you aborted so you can express such distastes for a living part of a man and WOMAN thats dependent upon the woman's body for 9 months to survive. Sorry questioner for going off topic.

I think what we have here is a complete lack of understanding of the psychological make up of a woman.

Make up and a mirror are normal functions, and how do you strike an analogy between the two and abortion?

I would commend her for being able to take control of her emotions and feelings and continue on, unscathed. It's called surviving and staying on track.

Men have no say as far as abortion. This is a women's issue. If you impregnate a girl you cannot force her to keep that child. She doesn't need your consent to get an abortion either. Your religions have you believe that they are pro-life but they are responsible for more death in the name of God towards the non-believers.

I would just not wear makeup for a while if I felt that way. Then gradually increase your mirror use.

I don't understand the correlation between these two events. That's like saying how do you have a pap smear and then go to the gym. The two have nothing to do with each other.

If you're against abortion, quit having sex. If you're a guy, you don't get a vote, because unless you can be forced to carry a baby you don't want for nine months, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. If you're so worried, don't have kids - go adopt a half-dozen kids that came from young girls who were coerced into having babies they didn't want and legally didn't have to have.

Because those women can devote hours and hours to themselves and claim they have no time or money to have a baby. It's called being selfish. It's the only medical "procedure" when two patients go in and only one comes out alive.
