Depends on the style of hair, I don't think you have to cut all your hair off when you reach a certain age, some woman can keep it long others go for short. It is all about preference, and choice.Live and let live.

I think it depends on the woman. Just because you're over a certain age doesn't mean you should have short hair, but some women over a certain age really don't look good with longer hair and should go short.
For example, the mom of one of my childhood friends always wore her wavy hair shoulder length. I saw her a few years ago and her hair style is exactly the same but now she's completely gray (she's in her mid 60s) and she looks like a witch, no lie. So in her case, I'd suggest either cutting it or dying it.

A woman's age has nothing to do with how long or short hair will look.Different facial shapes and body types will determine whether she looks older or younger with longer hair. The length of a woman's hair is up to her.

I think a woman should wear a hairstyle which suits her regardless of age. I know some older ladies who have long hair and suit it. I have to say though from what I've seen...most ladies do tend to go short in their 40s...with saying that , I haven't bothered to go short yet and I'm 43.
My answer is No she should not wear it short just because she's over 45.

I think an older woman looks better with shorter hair. Longer hair makes it look like she's trying to look younger and it just doen't work. Some women don't show their age, thanks to genetics, so I don't think there's a particular age that you should get it cut. Personally I was wearing my hair shoulder length until 2 years ago. Everyone says the shorter cut makes me look younger and "fresher" (let's just say I'm in the age-range of your question lol). But to each her own too!! Good luck!

From what I've learned from other people. They say that older women look better with shorter hair, it helps "lift" the face, making her look younger. I don't think there's a certain age when a person should cut their hair short, though.

Just because a woman is over a specific age doesn't mean she has to have short hair. It is totally up to her. I don't think that it makes older women look younger, but it's basically her choice if she wants long hair or short hair.

I think that longer hair makes women look older. I speak from sad experience. :-( My hair was always my only distinguishing feature. I have kept it shorter since I was in my late 30s and a couple of times I have tried to grow it out longer, thinking I could restore the bloom of my youth LOL. However, the longer it got, the older and witchier I looked. It's not even gray yet, but the longer look just is not flattering.

I agree with a lot of the other people. It depends on the woman. Some women look really good with long hair no matter how old they are some don't.

It depends on the womans face shape on how she should wear her hair. But honestly I think long hair makes you look younger.
