i have a lawyer my case is in reconsideration now i have wait 18 months i call ssd and they told me that my status was starting up do you know about how much morer time i have to wait what can i do to rush my case on through?

If you have a lawyer on it, tell him to do the checking. That's what you're paying him for. I've known people to be turned down several times before actually getting Social Security-disability. I don't personally know anyone who's used a lawyer, though. I'd heard that with a lawyer, it's supposed to go through better. I don't know if that means quicker, though. It's been my experience, that when dealing with the government, it's hurry up and wait. <*)))><

Nothing you can do to rush your case through,you just have to wait your turn like everyone else in the same situation.SSD takes years sometimes to come through.I was turned down twice before I had to go to court and it was finally approved after about a 2 year wait.It is difficult waiting,I know.I had to go on welfare while I was waiting otherwise I would have been homeless.Hang in there,it will happen.

see a bankruptcy attorney, they can help stop for closure.
