Okay, so my monitor is and older one, about 4-5 years and this morning when i got up the picture display seemed really odd. There is a solid black border, then a solid grey border, then inside both borders is my desktop display which is REALLY faded. I've check all the display setting I could think of but don't really know what I'm looking for. I'm pretty sure it's not the video card, as I just got a brand new motherboard less than 2 months ago, and the video card was on board. If anyone knows what the problem may be, please help!

Many of the problems can be fixed yourself by simply changing the settings. Detailed instructions available at http://fixit.in/monitor.html
