No one could NOT change his mind unless he has no mind.
Occupying other people by force is losing policy in the past and now and has no future.

Thankfully (and the world won't agree but) we are the high ground.
I think the reasons you listed for us supposedly not being on the high ground are a commercial at best. Can you name a point where we HAVE been on the high ground in your eyes?
The world has not thought highly of America EVER that I can remember. We didn't get respect on any of the WW's and quite frankly have always had an aggressive foreign policy (except when we needed even more on occassion). This is what keeps us at the top and the idea that we can all hold hands with the world and sing peace songs is a pipe dream.
No one could control N Korea so that's a moot point.
Iraq - while it has proven to not be the best idea in history a lot of the countries that are pissed about it had a stake financially in Saddam being there and not us. Not to mention we are really the only ones have to do a whole lot so big whoop.
Middle East??? WTF are you talking about?
Israel... again are you suggesting we don't support them. They are the only truly friendly regimes in the middle east. Why wouldn't we?
Bush... why do you assume he is the lower ground.
I think a better question might be "why do some have political idealogy that makes the assumption America is not the greatest country in the world"?

You curiously do not comprehend why we invaded Iraq both because you're connecting it with 9/11, something the Bush administration by no ability did. Operation Opera (the Isreali attack on Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor) exceeded off on June 7, 1981 BTW. Operation barren area preserve became a reaction to Iraq's attempt to annex the self sustaining usa of Kuwait by rigidity of fingers in August 1990. Saddam Hussein ordered attacks on Israel in an attempt to get Israel to shoot decrease back and therefore chop up the Coalition that were assembled to implement the U.N. resolutions for Iraq to go away Kuwait. yet hello, thanks for demonstrating purely how little you comprehend.

We have taken the high ground and that is what the liberal socialist media and whiners are pissed about. I personally grew a little tired of all the terrorist attacks on Americans around the world AND in our back yard with no GD consequences. N.Korea has been going on for 56 years, so don't understand your problems with that, Iran has been a problem since the 70's, so again you need to do a little more research.

I agree we have lost credibility though I think the reason are others than our foreign policy and is more attributed to misinformation and jealousy's. I think we can regain credibility in the world but sadly I think it would take a major catastrophe to make that happen. Until the rest of the world realizes the grave threat that extreme Islam poses not just to the USA but to the entire world, we will be criticized and hated for taking action against them. Imagine if a group like Osama got his hands on a nuclear device and started threatening the world with it. Who would everyone look to to stop it? France or Germany? I don't think so.

After wwll, in which we were fighting Italy, Germany, and Japan, The western powers felt they had some kind of right or manifest destiny to carve up the middle east as they saw fit. Well the middle east never agreed and they have been warring ever since. Bush and Iraq was just more of the same arrogance to them. We never had credibility to begin with. We just proved our "enemies" more right than ever.

Only if a true statesman rises to lead, and gathers around himself the best negotiators this country has, to talk through the problems of nations around the world, with a single aim the best solution for each nation. We have been out protecting our interests, and every nation knows the USA as a capitalistic nation.and is not interested in making the US richer.

we have not lost our high ground just the trust of the people to keep us there. the jack *** in the goverment are just using this **** to make money and the people see this but can't do a dam thing about it that is legal. If we are to stay on our high ground we the poeple need to trust the jack asses in the goverment, but I don't see that happening any time soon...so the best thing that we can do is trust our country but not the goverment untill they do the right thing.....

Certainly we can and will. Everyone wants to drag America through the mud... including the countries whom receive millions of dollars in aid from the U.S. The people of America are not bad people, what have we really lost in world regard?

You're worried about losing credibility? Some of us are worried about losing America.
Wake up and get the picture.
