But it want let me do anything please help did I destroy my computer and if you can't help please tell me where to get help I can't even use my recovery disk.

I can geet a book screen I just don't know where to go when the screen pops up if it is a harddrive problem what should I do.

if you cannot even get a boot screen to show up then you are screwed. if a boot screen appears than you just have bad hard drive issues. you can change the hard drive and it will be fixed. if there is no boot screen than you have to change the motherboard and that is almost not worth the trouble.

restart your computer
when it shows a table which has a text under like this
" verifying DMI pool data........ "
press F8 key as fast as possible
it shows you a boot menu
assuming you have WinXP choose "last known good configuration "
for win98 chose number "3.safe mode" if it enters the window
then use scan disk
if it doesn't install win in the same drive and on the same window,
it repaires your win automatically without losing your installed programs.
