Because she wants to fit in with the rest of the world who tell Christians to shut up and sit in a corner when Scientologists and Muslims and everyone else can say what they very well please.

Madonna isn't gutsy. She's controversial. There's a big difference in the two! She is, in MY eyes, just another sell-out performer who took her money & ran away to live out her fantasy life as a princess in a castle in the european countryside. Her childrens story books back this up!!! :o) Besides, what could she do to top what she has already done to get herself a following? She probably is thinking like a parent who has to protect her children from any hatred that the world WILL end up putting on them after her death. She isn't stupid enough to want a group that has so much power to make her the object of their desire.

Her criticism seems to be directed at Catholicism and Christianity. It's not considered politically correct to openly criticize or satirize the Muslim or Jewish religions if you are a Christian, which is what Madonna originally was.

Because she can't make up her mind. . . give her sometime before you know it she will be making fun of herself, but in a bad way. LOL. Or otherwise, she is in the process of adopting all of africa's kids.
