I love the games but this point just entered my head.

MGS 1 - They want you to arm Metal Gear for them.
So this means the bosses won't really try when you fight them incase they kill you cause if they kill you, the plan is dead.

MGS 2 - It's all just a hugh exercise to show you that everything in MGS 1 was easy.

MGS 3 - The boss knows she has to die, so again she can't give you are best in battle incase she kills you. Basically she is letting you win.

I just get the feeling that the story lines are laughing at us for trying so hard to complete it.

Anyone else get that feeling?

easy? I can't get passed that crazy invisible nonce in MSG3

No offence, but you could be over thinking it a little. Metal gear isn't about the story line, the heart of the game is it's unique (until splinter cell, caught on) game play. It just can't be beaten, OK splinter cell comes close, but not close enough.

Plus the Japanese save all their good stories for RPG's.

actually, i love metal gear! it is very educational, if you really want to look at it. the game is fun also.
