Baking soda is mixed with hydrogen peroxide to clean brass and silver.

Don't mix anything. Just use a simple toothpaste and your silver will glow! I tried it on some 90 year old silver that was stored for a quarter century. The results were fantastic!

I always thought that the "home recipe" for this was salt and vinegar.
