Yes, the phone does have a mp3 player on it, but the phone itself is not very reliable. Lots of broken ones come back into the store, with softwear issues. I would really reccomed a Diffrent phone, we have a lot of nice ones, and a iPod nano, 8gb.

Other phones that I reccomend are....
1. Samsung SCH-a930 (has mp3, but really lame, a good PHONE and camera)
2.LG VX8600 (basicly a chocolate flip phone, with none of the problums, SUPER THIN)
3. Motorola RAZR V3m in Pink (its just ok)
4. LG VX8300 (nice all-around)

It depends on what cost more. If the ipod cost more than the chocolate phone then you get that. If the chocolate phone cost more than ipod than get the phone. I think since they both came out earlier in the year, the price should go down some, then you can get other of them. Look all I'm saying is go to wal-mart.com and look up the prices, then you make your choice.

Instead of buying her some stupid techno gadget that will get lost or stolen, try making something for her with your own two hands! The spirit of giving seems to have been subverted by people with too much money, no imagination and very little brain. But then, it's all about keeping up with the Jones and their kids. Isn't it? Buy her the phone...

the phone is an MP3 but i think your spoiling your daughter you should get her a shoevel or a hammer and make her do work!
