Should women be allowed to walk around topless, like men are? Or should women be legally required to cover up their breasts?

Absolutely!I think it discriminates against women. It's not a womans fault if others cant control themselves.Women should have the right to be as comfortable as men.

I am a girl and I would like to be able to take off my shirt whenever guys can if, for example, it is a hot day. In some places this is legal and in some places it is not. That's a shame and it should be legal everywhere.
But there would also need to be a massive change in western culture. Whilst it may be legal for me to walk down the street topless, whilever womens' breasts are considered sexually titallating (pardon the pun) it is unlikely to be accepted as a social norm. Only when women can walk down the street topless without getting any form of sexual reaction will women in general be comfortable doing so

I live in Ontario Canada, & there was a time that a woman could get arrested for walking around topless. So there were a handfull of cases where some women went out of their way to go topless in public, get arrested, & then challenge the charges in the courts. The women who wanted to go topless won hands down, so it is now LEGAL for women to go topless in Ontario Canada.
COOL? NO! Because ever since then I have been looking everywhere expecting to find women happily going about with their breasts freely tasting the warm sun.
Not once have I seen ANY women out with their breasts legally exposed. Not even on the beaches. We have a few nudist clubs, & an even smaller amount of nude bathing areas, but even with it legalised, women aren't excersising their legal right to go topless. :(

It is legal...here in Ontario anyways.

Lol draftboy...well you could move here in hopes of seeing some extra boobs walking around, but just because it is legal, doesn't mean people actually do it. A few years ago, some woman/women fought for it to be legal to go topless, saying it was discriminatory for men to be able to go topless, but not women...she won, it became legal...and never have I seen a woman walking topless down the streets since. The beach is different obviously...but just because it's legal, doesn't mean people do it. Sorry to burst your bubble....lol.

With some of the "man boobs" I've seen on guys, I'm beginning to question if men should be allowed to walk around topless.

legally its discrimination. Boobs are sexual objects merely b/c society has given them that stigma.

However on a personal note, as a well endowed woman, I won't be running around topless anytime soon. Can't quite defeat gravity without a little help if ya know what I mean. So to keep them perky, I keep them covered, then they'll look that much hotter when I spring 'em loose.

Personally, I think it should be illegal for women, not to be topless...

Just like in some African, and Asian tribes, it takes off a lot of the pressure for men, imagining what they are missing...

And, it's more healthy psychologically, for both genders!

I've watched National Geographic enough to know that it's not illegal everywhere. And I've always wondered why it's illegal to show your breasts on the street, but it's OK to show them in a movie. I guess the only way to answer your question is to answer it with a question...Should it be legal for men to walk around completely naked?

even in places where it is legal to go topless, women hardly ever do for cultural reasons.

if you think the laws should be changed, please get yourself elected or at least start a campaign to change the laws via the political process.

I think it should be legal to be topless. Men do it, why not women?

However, in the city I live in, many places are legally topless. (Columbus Ohio.)

It should be legal. I do it all the time around the house and at the beach. I think we are way too breast obsessed in this cultur anyway. They are mammary glands, no big deal.
