Why are most people ignorant?

why is it most people are ignorant they never think or act on what they do or say the speak before they think yes most people are not like that but most are it is an unbalanced subject. most dont care for feelings or what they do they understand it but do nothing. people stand up for someone they get the worst of it so no one does anymore people walk by and leave it and that is suposed to be a good society in this world!. people are living life to fast that is what i think i am only 17 i am sorry

Obviously your more intelligent than most people. That's not taking a stab at ya. Some are more receptive to their world than others. You see what many are blind to. But it may be rude to correct people all the time. Gentle aknowledge their veiw and show them yours without any judgement. Don't be sorry ....just be yourself yourallright and on track.

Sorry if I sound like an old fogey but, 25 years ago, our world, country was a different place altogether, people did have manners and cared for the welfare of others, of course there were always exceptions to the rule, but on the whole life was altogether more pleasant. I feel that our present government has ruined this country with it's ridiculous policies, especially the Nanny State. You can take comfort in the fact that these types of attitudes do go round in cycles, so at some point, things must get better and just to reassure you, I care a great deal about other people and our country, keep your chin up.

Part of it is because we're not taught to think analytically or altruistically. We're encouraged to get all worked up over X Factor or Big Brother, but not to discern the agendas behind politicians' speeches and legislation. Or how it will affect our neighbours or people across the world.

We also have to look at the effects of poor nutrition, which demonstrably affects brain development in growing kids and how much energy we have to fire the brain cells. We have more food than our bodies need, but the quality is so poor that our brains are starving. Any wonder we can't pay enough attention to care about other people?

people can be so self opinionated, and because of this believe that they can talk on any subject but in reality they only know a little of a lot of things and not a whole lot of anything, and lets face it a little knowledge is dangerous most of the time.

I've often wondered about this, and I believe it stems from our human inability to be anything but selfish oafs, crashing thorugh life without the notion of consequence.

Ignorance can be outgrown through self study and observation, or it can stay with you for life out of sheer will, like George W. Bush for instance.

Don't take what these people say to heart. Just ignore them, otherwise you will spend a lot of time walking around mad or depressed.
