i feel really alone here. im curious of how many are in oklahoma.its annoting bein in school with straight people who dont know your gay and cant know. it sucks. so even if you dont know just tell me what you think.

f*g hag to the rescue! most of my friends are gay. when we were younger and couldn't get into clubs and such we went to the wreck room on the strip. my best friend did drag there for a long time and was even voted miss gay oklahoma. just like you, peeps at his school didn't know about him. we used to go there and hang out with everyone else that was gay and have a great time! this is the only club/clubs i will go to when i'm home (currently military and stationed in texas, yuck).

Probably not too many. Oklahoma stands firm on moral values (not that it's immoral to be gay or lesbian). I lived outside of Tulsa for 10 years and noticed that there is alot of Gay/Lesbian culture, but there's a larger amount of religious conservatives. If you're comfortable coming out to your parents, then you should start a GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) in your school. You might be supprised at the other students who fall behind you after you take the first step. (Even though the first step is usually the hardest to take.) You'd also be supprised at all the straight students who want to be involved. You'd have a coallition of students celebrating diversity in your school for years to come and you 'd be making it easier for future students who wouldn't have to deal with the same issues you might be dealing with.

If you live in a small town it might be hard to find anyone. But there are plenty of gay women in most large OK cities and towns.
Oklahoma has just as many as any other state (per cent). I suggest you Google "Oklahoma + Gay" and just keep clicking on likely links.

i know theres probrably alot of gay people but are probrably afraid of gettin rejected by thier peers if they come out so their probrably still in the closet u should come to lancaster california and go to avhs like all my friends are like gay or bi and everyone here is like loads of fun seriously u should come !!!!! hell im even bi and the best part is like no ones like in the closet here so u have a huge selecion i knw i do !!!!YAYYY! ya that last part was gayer than i am ...LOL

Um, hon, there's seven PFLAG chapters in your state so I'd guess you aren't the only lesbian in your state.
