I am in a liberal school. I have traveled the world with my family and have had experiences in which these professors express knowledgable opinions. In doing this , they are misleading other students and those students take this so called knowledge as fact. I have and can back up my positions with FACTS when asked why I disagree and rather than discuss it , these so called educators argue when the only backup they have is from other liars as themselves....why do universities allow a lie to be taught rather than a truth????? It is their reputation at stake.

I had 2 very liberal professors fail me because I questioned them on issues they knew absolutely NOTHING of...it regarded the politics of and the true facts surrounding Bosnian War and their defending the arrest of Slobodan Milsevic. ( I spent three years there as a consultant). They also attempted to paint a picture of Nelson Mandela as a man of dignity, honor and honesty. I protested that as well - especially because I locked horns with the South African Communist Party that he was supported by 100 percent. I protested it as being "propoganda" that it truly was and claimed that these students , their parents and those who offered grants for their tuition deserved for the students to be taught truth - not some legend or a figment of someones imagination. Again, I recorded it, protested it and the school defended the lies told. Again, i gave them one last chance to tell the truth or be embarrassed...they did not . I recorded the classes. If they are up to teaching it and letting students practice what they teach all through life, then they must grow a backbone which most of them did not have and back up what they say, I took the school and these two professors to task and sued them. I used the same rhetoric that they used when they answered my questions (condescendingly if there is a word). My attorney was my liberal brother who for 3 years was a paralegal for the ACLU. I graduated with the grades I deserved and hopefully one day in the next 3-4 years I will teach at the same school....I will teach my version backed with facts and the version the school teaches...backed with what ever facts they have ...but they better make sure that their facts are as close to the truth as possible....

Go to a conservative school where the teachers have never been out of their home town and see if you like that any better!

How is any school suppose to monitor every classroom? Even if you had full surveillance cameras in every room, how would you have enough people trained to listen to every word of every teacher?? There would still be opinions.
Second of all how are you going to "super" train all teachers to be perfect in their presentations? I've been to both doctors and lawyers who made mistakes and from the sounds of most Yahoo answers, people think teachers are paid enough, so you are never going to get a lot of gifted people into the profession.
I'm glad you have travel and know more than the rest of us, perhaps you should go into newscasting so you can get the truth out there as our media is so one sided. Better yet run for government- lots of liers out there you could set straight!

Some truths are subjective others are objective. If you are arguing political ideology your facts and their facts are all based on opinions and you can argue forever. If they are lying about credible facts then you must, in all good conscience report them. For instance if they are arguing the political ideology of the Vietnam War, there are different points of view and they are allowed theirs as you are allowed yours. Because they disagree with you does not make them anymore of a liar than you are and your interpretation of facts are each your own. If they are lying about certainties, such as phsycial science or historical dates and facts then you can and must report them.

I wonder what the topic of discussion is. You don't give any examples. That leads me to believe that your "facts" are probably opinions.

Instead of complaining about it....why not change it and become a teacher?
