Yet, they do nothing when gay couples are caught having oral sex. A friend has told me in the schools legal department that the school does not want to deal with fall out from the gay community yet they have dismissed straight students who were caught having sex. This is blatant discrimination and this school has no backbone as do many "politically correct" individuals and institutions. Has anyone has this type of experience. (By the way, I have had many straight and gay men, tell me I have beautiful breasts along with a few women...)

it sounds like your school has a double standard, and they're sexist. Since it's on your property, and it's secluded, why can't you sunbathe topless - ESPECIALLY since you're going to be face down, and nobody will be able to see your breasts?

Also, if you were a man, they wouldn't be telling you that you can't take your top off on your property. So how can they tell you that you can't bare your breasts on your own land?

Maybe you should contact a lawyer, and threaten to sue them.

Unfortunately, since it's private property the college can make whatever rules it wants and, since as a student ytou need to abide by the student handbook, you don't have much choice about whather to comply or not.

It's unfortunate, because I really don't see anything wrong with sunbathing topless (or even completely naked) as long as it's in an appropriate spot on campus. As long as it's out of the mainstream traffic areas, there shouldn't be a problem...but of course, there usually is.

I'm a first year grad student and on two occasions last year myself and another girl got into trouble for sunbathing topless on campus...no big deal but security came in response to a complaint and told us to put our tops on or face disciplinary problems. We were on our backs, but I suspect that we would have been hassled even if we were lying on our stomachs. I go to school in NY where it's legal for a girl to be topless in public anywhere a guy can be, but even so I was hassled because I was on private property (the campus).

It's a sad comment on our society that something as simple and harmless as bare boobs can cause such an outcry of indignation.

And, of course, the same college that won't allow you to sunbathe topless probably sells Playboy magazine in their bookstore!

I live in the Canadian province of Ontario and it is legal here to sunbathe topless in public. You might want to consider coming to school here. Of course there is only a couple of months in our year when that is possible and beautiful breasts always arouse an undue amount of attention, but at least you can legally do it.
