Do you dress in nice casual, or do we need to wear dress and suit?

Business casual is the best, and good grooming is essential.

By "good grooming", I mean no heavy make-up, visible tattoos unless you are a Sailor, strange haircuts, nose rings, pierced belly buttons showing, etc ... Save your self-expression through personal appearance until after the dep is over.

This is your time to come across as credible. Show up looking respectable, but don't overdo it by showing up in your Sunday best. You don't want to come across looking like you are putting on a show.

Oh, and if you were injured, don't show up in heels even if the only walking you had to do was the 10 feet from the door to the car.

My lawyer informed me to wear business casual to the deposition. I doubt that overdressing would be bad, but underdressing could be. I'll wear my nicest slacks and my whitest shirt.

Business attire. For men, shirt, tie and jacket.

It doesn't really matter, but the attorney taking your deposition will tend to treat you with more respect.
