He is just exploring his body and face...He's been in the womb for so long that everything is new to him! My daughter stretched alot and then would jump..Its just a newborn reflex and I'm pretty sure he is just scaring himself..let him explore and when he gets scared comfort him by holding him close and patting his back :)

Are you saying that he stretches and moves alot while eating? Is he taking formula or breastfed????
Does he cry every time he eats???

If so, then he could be having a reaction to formula or breastmilk. I can only post on this once, so I'll put everything I can in here.....
If he is lactos intolerant, DO NOT give him soy formula.... I was just reading alot about it (I gave it to my son for his entire 1st year!) and there are things in soy that can be harmful later on in life....

If your baby isn't eating right, you might want to take him to the doctors...
And if hes just stretching silly while eating :) Then he is just being cute....
Good luck!

i dont think there is really much you can do, he may just be scaring himself when he touches his ears and face etc... or maybe he is scratching himself, put the baby mittys on him, is is normal!!
