Mice are really hard to catch, not only because of their size, but they are fast little boogers, too. Check online for some ideas for a humane homemade trap (think Elmer Fudd trying to catch Bugs with a box and a carrot). It may seem a bit "cartoonish" but most traps DO work. With some patience and ingenuity, you should be able to catch him (or her). I've included the link to take you to a website with some ideas.

Also, this may sound strange, but maybe you should let your cat try. I had a bird trapped in my house once, and after an hour of exhausting myself trying to catch it I gave up. After five minutes of staring, the cat caught it, and I promptly put him outside and made him let go. The bird flew away (a bit scared, but otherwise OK), and I gave my kitty some special treats to make up for it.

good luck :)

Cats have already been residing a protracted time with human beings. in spite of this they have remained predators like their relatives, the super cats, which incorporate the lion, the tiger, and the leopard. The animals of prey for cats are lots smaller. maximum of all cats love mice. The looking instinct is inborn. even once you generally feed your cats, it won't bypass up an probability to chase after any mouse that crosses its path. Cats have super endurance in looking. they'd sit down quietly for hours in front of a mouse hollow. If a mouse ultimately does stick its little head out, the cat will first wait patiently. The mouse should not be as we talk afraid and disappear returned into its hollow. If the mouse dares to come back out a sprint extra, the cat will spring as right now as lightning and catch the mouse. What could you do if your cat drags you a mouse? mutually because it might seem disgusting to you, for the cat it somewhat is a brilliant area of life. So do not scold your cat. Take the mouse away as quickly because of the fact the cat has left it and positioned it exterior. If the mouse is ineffective, you could bury it. wish this helps (it somewhat is instintive) heheheheehehe aussie

Something you might not have thought about: If there's one mouse, there are certainly more in the walls, cupboards, etc. They are not solitary critters. The advice several people gave you will probably work.

Call a relative to drive you some where. In the end just give him a tip. Or drive the bus/train.
