your dad sounds like a real a sshole to me. tell him that it is a free country and that you can date whoever you want to. tell him (your dad) that you really love this guy and that if he (your dad) does not stop being racist towards him that you will run away (or at least something that drive the point home and make hime understand).

Emancipation isn't a bad idea. But you have to prove that you are able to support yerself and take care of yerself. Just what the hell is the bug up yer dads *** for anyhow? Has he had some incident in the past that has left him angry and ignorant? Or was he raised that way? It's a tough situation but yer gonna have to deal with it one way or another. I wish you luck and may it all turn out good!!!!

My kinfolk are what you may evaluate "closet" racists besides. In public, they are tolerant of all and sundry; in inner maximum, they might have some stable issues to assert, yet they are nevertheless deeply prejudiced against all races different than white/Caucasian, fairly African human beings. all of them grew up interior the south, the place racism continues to be frequently got here upon. I grew up interior the south besides (Virginia), yet i substitute into fortunate adequate to be knowledgeable in a racially distinctive college in a liberal city. they do no longer flaunt it on a extensive-unfold foundation, yet however their racism is complicated and ignorant to me. It breaks my heart to be attentive to that my own kinfolk could probably disown me, if I could ever enter into an interracial relationship and/or marriage. To make it worse, they continually quote the Bible verse approximately how we could continually no longer be "unequally yoked" each and every time I carry the venture up. Ever when you consider that i substitute right into a preteen (while i substitute into nevertheless Christian), i substitute into beneficial that verse substitute into talking of distinctive religions, no longer races.

Confront your dad about being racist. And don't be scared when you tell him. Just tell him to his face "YOU'RE A RACIST WHITE PERSON AND IF I WANT TO DATE A BLACK GUY THEN I CAN NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO TO ME!!" Then walk away, and go into the bathroom and slam the door and lock it. It'll give him something to think about. Good luck!

I think that your family may have other reasons for not liking your boyfriend. If they accept your sisters bi racial relationship, they are probably not racist. If they truly are racist,it is something that you will have to learn to deal with. You do not have to reflect their views but you probably won't be able to change them.Being emancipated is not easy. You will have to prove to a judge that living with them is dangerous and that you are able to care for yourself responsibly both financially and physically. My advice is to you is excel in school, graduate and move away to college.Put yourself in a position where you are able to support yourself financially and date whomever you please.

while you are in your parents home you should abide by their rules. if you can find a friend to live with than it would be different. i would go as far as to get emancipated ( its just your heart talking, not your brain).
