Jane Fonda is her aunt, not her mother. Her dad is actor Peter Fonda (Easy Rider), and her grandad was Henry Fonda (Grapes of Wrath). She is married to composer Danny Elfman (Beetlejuice, The Simpson's, Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Men in black, The Corpse Bride )since 2003 and has a child with him. Maybe she has taken time off to be a full time mom.

She had a son in January 2005, she is probably taking time off to raise him.
It is too bad she hasn't done more movies lately, she is a really good actress.
