Why is it I get messages from straight girls who think I'm cute, but as soon as they ask a/s/l and I explain that I'm a female to male transsexual, they get all high and mighty and call me names and down me with things like "hahahahaha ok, you're a lesbo" and stuff? When not even 2 minutes earlier they thought I was HOT..someone explain? Does the idea of liking a transsexual f**k with your head too much and question your sexual orientation?

Complete ignorance.....your right, it makes them question there own sexuality and some are probably jealous you knew what you wanted and went for it while they are stewing in their own insecurities.

Some people are just immature and don't understand. That's what it all boils down to. If they are the ones who initiated the conversation, it might be thier insecurities about sexuality that is making them react so nasty.

Hun, I'm bi, and girl suck sometimes lol. People suck sometimes. Unfortunantly there is nothing we can do about it except try to educate and if they aren't open to it, then there really is nothing we can do. Some people are just so stuck in thier own picture of how life should be that anything outside that box is a threat to them.

Ignore the ignorant people and if they act nasty to you and call you a lesbo just reply "Weren't YOU the one that wanted ME?" If these people would even take the chance to know you there wouldn't be any issue, but that's thier problem not yours, thier loss not yours; you have to know you are better off not having those negative people in your life.

I'm an mtf, and I get similar stuff from guys who thought I was hot before they found out. I think *some* of it is they just think transgendered people are just gays who try to 'look' straight by dressing as the other sex, so then they're reacting out of fear and anger that they almost fell into some kind of "gay trap" type of thing.

IOW: they're having a hostile reaction to their own ignorance.

I don't know anything about you of course, but I'm a gay transman and found that my success rate changed soon after I simply disclosed that I'm a transman in my online profiles that were cruising-related.

And of course some people are just dumb or hateful, and they have to look themselves in the eye every morning with that hatefulness. Sucks to be them!

(Gay men can be real babies about female genitalia, so trust me that I've heard it all.)

You might want to narrow your dating pool a little as well. There's a yahoo group dedicated to transmen and those who want to date them (and lucky for you, it's heavily skewed toward women seeking transmen.) Look for ftmpersonals as a yahoo group. There's also a butch-femme site that also caters to transmen who like women.

I hate to say this but I think they want a penis. The state of SRS for FTM's is pretty bad. Extremely expensive surgery for a not-so-great result. You've got an uphill battle and I can only say keep trying.

Plus they don't get it. They assume TS's are homosexual.

You may have better luck with girls who are bi.

exactly so instead of questioning their own sexuality or letting it go, they question yours. See people need things to fit into nice, neat easy to understand labels. When it doesn't, YOU are to blame so their nice, neat world remains intact.
