Yes, there are real ghost. I had an experience in New Orleans on my honeymoon, and although I was not a believer before, I sure am now. And, I never want to experience it again. It isn't as "cool" as people think.

"Ghosts", (aka apparitions) are too well documented to be discounted, but in my opinion are not the spirits of departed humans.
Current technology precludes any conclusion of "proof" regarding these phenomenon, therefore no method exists to test any hypothesis that might be formed. Any opinions regarding their origin or existence remains, therefore, in the realm of belief and/or opinion.
I personally believe they are what remains of the Nephalim discussed in Genesis 6:1-4. Only the descendants of Adam are condemned to "the heart of the earth" in death. These hybrids of extra-terrestrials and human women may be tethered to the earth because of their maternal parentage, but retain a fourth-dimensional presence due to the nature of the paternal. (Sweeping assumptions at work here).
That they had a body at birth is a matter of record, whether they could reproduce is unknown. It is believed by many (including myself) that they could, and did, and would have corrupted the entire genetic strain of man had the flood not occurred. God chose Noah because he was "perfect in his generations". Is this saying he was 'genetically pure'? I think so.
If their "spirit" survived the destruction of their body in the flood, they may currently exist, and may seek embodiment (possession) in a host body. The "legion" asked of Jesus permission to inhabit the bodies of swine when they knew they would lose the host they had.

i do believe in ghosts because i was vistited by my great grandmother on the night of her funeral i know i sound crazy but i really did see and hear her and i was terrified!! i was only 8 years old!!! also i am a Christian and i believe int ghosts if that means anything to you..
