Neither. The older more conservative white rednecks in this country would sooner start a civil war than have that happen.

Unfortunately at this time I'd have to say neither have a chance. This country is still not ready for any "sudden" changes. Too many people have race/gender issues to get over 1st. It's a shame too because either would be great to see happen. While you're at it what about a black female(yeh, right)? People in this country need to grow up and progress like most of the other more liberal country's who laughed at us for the whole Clinton "problem". He was 100 times better then our current president but everyone was fixated on other less important issues where Clinton was concerned so until the rest of the US grows up a bit and comes to realize the year we in I don't think either will happen anytime soon.

Elect to what position? I know for sure that a black male and a white female have been Senators, Congressmen, Supreme Court Justices, basically the only position left for one of the is being president.
I personally see a white female being elected first. The stigma of the civil rights movements and stuff are still there.

I would hope the American people would elect the most qualified candidate. I personally, if given the choice between a black male candidate or whgite female candidate, would certainly choose whom I thought was the best qualified

A black male will be president before a white female is elected into office. In 1870 thee 15 th amendment gave citizens the right to vote regardless of race, color ,or previous condition of servitude. It was not until 1920 that the nineteenth amendment gave citizens the right to vote regardless of sex.
