The original is called Soil Moist. You can find it at most L&G centers or stores like Lowes that have a L&G section. It's an excellent product and it takes very little for most size houseplants pots. We use it in the greenhouses all the time.

It's available at most garden centers and is extremely useful not only for indoor plantings but for outdoor hanging plantings that dry out quickly during the summer. It can also be worked into a garden bed.

The key is to soak it first, then add the gels to the soil. If you don't, then as soon as you add the water the gels swell and push soil (and maybe your plant too) out of the container.

They sell it at Wal-Mart now. You can also get some diapers and rip out the lining. You will find the same gel there, cheaper, and in larger quantities.
