I saw this in a craft book once.
Snowman-
Take 3 balloons, blow one as big as possible. The next just smaller and the next smaller. Take white twine dipped in glue and wrap each balloon. Glue together with smallest on top and biggest on bottom. Let dry completely. Take a needle and pop the balloons. The twine will be stiff and you then have a snowman made of twine. You can glue buttons for eyes and just be creative for rest of hat and nose etc...
Turns out really cute. Everybody loved them. I made a family of snowmen like this.

funky christmas wreath!!!
all you need is

hot glue
red, green, or silver tinsel
bendy wire
Santa or snowman Christmas tree decoration
scissors
duct tape

take the wire, bend it into a circle tape it so it stays in place. take the tinsel and glue gun and wrap it around the wire and glue as you go.

after it's dry take your tree decoration and cut the hanger or string off and use allot of hot glue to place him in the centre of the wreath.

If you can crotchet or knit, make a Christmas afghan, it really cheers the place up and when somebody sees it and comments on it you can say with pride that you made that yourself

you could get some red and green fabric,any style you like. then you could go to wall~mart or somthen.
