Yes, coffee in moderation is fine. My doctor told me this and I read up on recent studies that 2-3, 8oz cups of coffee are safe amounts of caffeine to consume. Still make sure you get plenty of water too. Do NOT consume decaf. Many use chemicals to take the caffeine out!

Coffee - or any other form of caffeine - is OK but only in moderation.
There are guidleline amounts for how much a pregnant woman should have - products containing caffeine include soft drinks (cola), chocolate, tea and coffee.
Have a look on Google for guideline daily amounts in pregnancy or ask your doctor/midwife.
I think for coffee its about 3 cups a day, but then if you're also drinking tea and cola or eating chocolate then you'd have to cut that down to 1 or 2.

Foldgers has put out a new coffee, and it tastes just as good as regular.. it is Half coffee.. it only has half of the caffine that comes in regular coffee. And tastes a whole lot better than decaf. It even has the old Folgers Smell to it (smell of fresh brewed coffee)

Ask your doctor. It is probably okay to drink a little BUT you should ALWAYS check with your doctor. There is new information coming out everyday about the effects of what a pregnant mother consumes and how it affects your baby. It is better to be safe than sorry....

not for nothing, I understand how you feel. Not so long ago I was in the same predicament. I asked my Ob, to be honest with me.She stated that the caffeine is not good for the baby, nor is it good for me. So I went completely cold turkey for the next five months. But a trick, I have them deliver me a very large Cappaccuino when I was in the Labor and Delivery room at Jersey City Hospital. Made the labor as easy as can be. had something to focus on.

Yeah Decaf is a good choice. However, if you must have the caffeine that just limit the coffee intake to no more than 8oz a day. That's what my midwife told me

My doctor had told me NO caffeinated drinks during pregnancy. Decaf is also bad bc the process used for decaffeinating uses lots of chemicals, and in the end, some caffeine still remains.
