i would like to here you opion! dispite the fact the am i'm againts some of the things SPCA dose, i'v decided to donate pet items to them! i have hope to stay on good terms w/ them so when i'm able to open a animal sancuary, they will give me some of the unadopted animals unstead of putting them down!! but yet i can't help feeling i an betraing what i bealve in!!! please give me your thoughts on this!!!!!!

sorry, the fact that they put down dogs just b/c of the breed & are know for putting down pregant animals b/c of the longer care they take!!

In all honesty, you can't necessarily be mad with the SPCA for being a kill shelter. If there were no kill shelters, I think things would get out of balance. There are just not enough GOOD homes for all the animals out there. Don't be mad at the SPCA, be mad at the irresponsible breeders or backyard breeders who are just looking to make a quick buck or those people that have accidental litters because they didn't find a way to get their pets fixed. They are the ultimate reason why kill shelters exist.
And DO NOT feel bad about donating. They need all the help they could get. I bet if they got more assistance, they would have to option to not euthanize as many animals as they do.

Don't you think by donating items you are actually helping pets live longer and happier lives. You're helping save money by donating. Maybe you will save 1 animal by donating tons of items, but at least that is 1 animal, plus you are helping all the others. There should be more people like you.

No! You are helping the pets with whatever you donate. You're also working toward a bigger goal of one day having a sancuary, so I think you're in the clear. :)

You do not cite the reasons you are unhappy with the Humane Society.
Some Humane Societies do not put down their animals. I got my dog from one. He had been there for two years.
He is the nicest, sweetest, most wonderful dog I ever had and I am thankful every day they did not put him down (we have had him almost 9 years now)
