It all depends on the type of gecko you want. Some geckos are native to deserts others to more tropical areas and the care varies. I would recommend getting a book on geckos to help you decide which type suites you the best. I have a leopard gecko and she is very easy to care for (in my opinion), supposedly they are great for beginning gecko owners. I recommend looking into them. Good luck with your research.

OK first you have to chose which gecko you want (may i suggest the leopard gecko they are the easiest to take care and they are the coolest). Then look up info on it visit RELIABLE CARE SHEETS on line or buy a book. Then set up the cage BEFORE you get the gecko you want. Good Luck

have you heard of 'google'? You do a google search for gecko care. Then go to the library and get some books or buy them. Spend at least a month dooing lots of reading and research.

If you have to ask the question then I would say that you will not be doing anything right by the creature. The thought of having an exotic pet may sound good, but are you really thinking about its welfare?
These lizards, in my opinion, should not be kept in confinement and I do not understand why anyone should want to.

I used to live in Guam. Geckos everywhere. You can get a aquarium like container and put grass in it. Don't know if they eat anything special.

geckos are independent creatures who will tolerate you and probably keep a watch ful eye on your reliability for meal delivery. Do that, keep their area clean, leave clean water and be reliable for their food supply and you will have happy healthy geckos,

well your gecko will need a cage with some sand on the bottom, a heat lamp and/or rock, crickets to eat, a water bowl, and a little rock structure to hide and sleep in
