they left the security tag on the shirt and i just realized it, is there any way to take it off at home?

it is the plastic kind, not ink.
and no i did not steal it, i just don't want to return to the store, specially since today is black friday.

This happened to my sister. In between the peices that hold it together (the cloth of your item should be attached between 2 hooks) you should be able to see the wire or pin that your shirt is on. Take a screwdriver or scissors and push down really hard in the hole where the wire is. (I hope you understand what I mean...)
You may need to clip around the security tag until it is really small (there is a piece that is very thick and rectangular that is hard to cut, and a round arrow like piece, this is easy to clip or cut with clippers or scissors) Clip it as far down as you can, so you can see the wire. Now take the scissors and push into the whole where that wire is. Keep pushing on it on a hard flat surface, (I used the dresser) It should fall apart with all the force.... Hope its not an ink tag!
Hope this helps. If all else fails and you still have your reciept, take it back to the store and talk to the manager so he/she can take it off....

No...it will only ruin the shirt and then you will have no recourse. Take it back to the store with a receipt and they will remove the tag.

Omg. That happened to me twice. If it's the kind with the ink, I had no idea how to take it off. I just went to the store (JC Penney for me) and told them and had to show a receipt (of course) so they know I didn't steal it. Then they took it off. I don't know how to take it off at home though.

Not without ruining the garment. It is better to take it back to the store with the receipt and have them remove it and give them a good scolding for causing you the inconvenience.

If it's one of those ones with the dye in, or the plastic ones, I wouldn't try it. Didn't the alarm go off as you left?
Take it back to the shop along with the receipt to prove that you have paid for it, and they will take it off. Unless you are hiding something...?

Return the stolen shirt with the receipt. Or blow up the device and ruin the shirt. I don't care, I'm rich, so I have all my shirts custom made in Bangladesh.

it depends if its an ink tag than you'll have to take it back to the store but if its not you can pop it off with a screw driver

mmm...are you sure you didnt steal it? if you have the receipt and you are honest, simply take the shirt w/ the receipt and return it. otherwise, good luck.
