Depends on your speed, weather, traffic conditions, but it generally takes me 3 to 3 and a half hours.

Since it is 217 miles from Manchester (Piccadilly) to Glasgow (George Square), and there is a 50mph speed limit on the M8 between junction 8 and junction 25A, you would be hard pushed to do the journey legally in less than four hours.

3-4 hrs. Once you get past Preston it's a dawdle, -till you hit Hamilton.

I bet some boy racer says you can do it in 2 or something. But the reality is, that I'd allow at least 3 hrs depending on where in Glasgow your destination is.

It will take you about 3 hours and 15 minutes. I tend to use Mapquest for driving instructions. Try them on www.mapquest.com. However, you will be taken straight to the US site so click on directions at the top and then underneath 'city' you will see 'Europe'. Click on that and type in your destination. Pretty easy to follow.

3 hours 37 minutes according to the AA's guide. I've used them plenty and they've always been pretty accurate for me.

Driving time is one thing, journey time is different. Add time for coffee breaks and the inevitable road works.
