to save as, like a file, would be: ahorre como, the other gentlemen gave u many other examples, but i think ur meaning a file. i could be wrong,

Depends on the context. Ahorrar is to save as in save money in the bank (ahorrar dinero). Salvar is to save as in to save a life (Me salvo la vida). Conservar is closer to conserve. And guardar is to protect. Think of the word guardian.
