The first one released back in 1990 was so popular it was No.4 highest grossing film in US then.
The second wasn't as popular but made a lot of money too. I enjoyed it totally even though Roger Ebert included his review in the book "I Hated I Hated I Hated This Movie"

I don't know, They are both pretty good. I think I liked the second one the best. It was just so hilarious. Maybe you should get them both!
