Sometimes it gives people the hope they need ... it may be a false sense of security ... but it's still a sense of security!

I agree with Jus B (Apologies for any spelling mistakes)
it's a bit like religion. It gives people hope or a sense of beloning in a way. You can't really call it rubbish if you don't understand it yourself.
I read them, but I don't set my life on them. the readings are definitely open to interpretation.

I think for some of us it just gives us false hope. If we read that a certain day of the week is supposed to be our "lucky day", we look forward to that day and therefore feel as if we have something to live for. For others who do not take horoscopes as seriously, I think we just read them for fun just to see what our horoscopes may say.
I have to agree with you, though: I don't believe in horoscopes at all. I mostly just read them for fun.

I totally agree... I guess some people just like to have something to follow or believe in... like religion as well.... ops, there goes a few thumbs down from the god squad from having a different point of view

I read the horoscopes just to see if what they have to say is whats really going on. Especially reading it the day after. Sometimes there close.

Humans are very egotistical and want self-gratification. The horoscopes provide us with another method of thinking about ourselves.
