I am going up to colorado on christmas break to visit my grandparents. In case of a snowstorm, what are the cheapest(although still nice) that are around in that area? I appreciate it!!

In the area of ... Colorado? You do realise that's a pretty broad question--it's a large state. Best answer I can offer is to try the chain hotels along highways. On the budget end, Microtel, Fairfields, and Red Roofs are usually a good bet. Mid-range, try Hampton Inns, LaQuintas, or Courtyards. I found a website that I like to consult before traveling that has alot of helpful information on it that I regularly use.
People that have visited hotels and motels in a specific area post their comments about these properties and restaurants, etc.
Use your own final judgement after researching on this site.
If you read a lot of negative stuff about a motel or hotel property for example its probably good to avoid that property.
I have been satisfied overall to date. Sometimes you discover a hidden gem in a particular area.
