The turning point in my life..... When I was 14 my father passed away I became a very angry young man and over the next 3 years I proceeded to get in a lot of trouble. I listened to heavy metal and lived the life style. We ( my best friend and I) went to concerts every weekend And partied like rock stars. Angry and heavy. One concert day we showed up at our local concert amphitheater do discover a band called The Grateful Dead. For three days we stayed in a parking lot and met so many people that were just really nice and happy. In those three days a change happened to m,y friend and I. We let go of a lot of hate and rage. We were able to look at the bright side and having so many people that we never met telling us how much the care and feel our hurt helped to get us out of the anger. Now mind you I still love my heavy metal but they turned me into a good ole hippie. Changed me in a very good way I moved passed a lot of rage and discover that everything should be lived for. Enjoy the pains and sorrows because the make the joys and triumphs better. Embrace thew tears for they make the laughter sparkle. So that was my achievement moving on. I am now 40 I own my own busness and have a minor in journalism. So The Dead gave me back my piece of mind, so I was able to become what I am today.

I'd have to say the Bible, and the Passion of the Christ have renewed my faith. Well and my little Buddha statue on my dresser.... ;-)

Anyway I have been inspired to find the truth about Christ (and the Bible is a good *source*.....but by no means the only and most reliable--accept it) and am trying to adopt his morals and treat people the way Christ would have. The emphasis here I should note is on CHRIST--not Christians--there's a difference.
